Mechanical: Shutter curtains are light-tight. Wind smooth. The shutter is working, although not particularly accurate on some speeds. Disassembled, lubricated & adjusted best possible.
Optical: The rangefinder is bright & aligned. New beamsplitter installed. VF & RF windows are clean & clear. Lens has been coated. Optically very clean for the age. No haze, fungus or major scratches. A few specks of dust internally.
Cosmetic: Cosmetically good for the age, with appropriate patina & brassing. A very minor ding to the left side corner of the top plate. No damage otherwise. Vulcanite intact.
Electronic: N/A
Left the factory as a Leica I in 1929 with a fixed lens, converted to a Leica III with RF, slow speeds & standardised mount. Flash sync added. Lens has serial number engraved, which implies it may not be original to the camera, but is of the age appropriate serial number. Nickel lens & fittings.
